Your mindset is everything! There's no greater asset.
Your mindset will determine whether you're committed to achieving your goals or not when things get tough - as we all know they will.
Your mindset is without a doubt more valuable than anything - more valuable than money, a diploma or degree, a job - your mindset determines your future.
Which is whyyy it's so important that you're intentional about training your brain.
The great news is you can start building a stronger mindset throughout your day with simple mental exercises. All it takes is a little intentionality.
So in this video, I wanted to give you 3 quick tips to help get you started.
Your Goals & Mindset Tips
This right here is a biggie.
Our minds are constantly running - that voice in our head is always yapping about something,
“I need to put the clothes in the dyer.”
“Did I send that email yesterday?”
“I’m hungry, but I don’t want to stop writing this blog because I’m on a roll…”
(Haha, that last one is a present-moment thought.)
Research shows we think about 60k-80k thoughts per day! Whew, that’s exhausting.
And many of those thoughts fly in and out of your head… but there are a few that tend to stick around. Usually, it’s the negative ones.
Thoughts tied to worry, fear, doubt, anxiousness, you know what I’m talking about.
So if you want to build a healthy mindset you have to put those thoughts in their place. Don’t let them dominate your mind because, before you know it, they will become your actions and your words.
Can we stop negative thoughts from entering our minds? Nope.
Can we choose how long they stay?... Heck yes!
And the more you shift from toxic thinking, the stronger your brain becomes.
FOCUS ON A PLAN
Big dreams and audacious goals are awesome, but they can also be overwhelming.
The best way to get over that stress and pressure is to map a plan and focus on your tasks ONE at a time.
A plan is your guide to see where you’re going, and it simultaneously helps you concentrate on your next one or two steps. This keeps you on your path to success instead of feeling all over the place by your vision for the end result.
Trust me. The time you take to sit still and map a plan on the front end saves you a ton of time worrying and stressing on the backend.
You can map a plan for a big goal, or you can map a plan for your day. Either way, give your mind the direction it needs to prosper.
STOP OVERTHINKING EVERYTHING
You can waste so much time dwelling on things over and over again. And, you’re not only wasting precious time, but it's also a huge waste of energy.
If you notice your thoughts are spiraling about things that are out of your control, bring yourself back to the present moment. Because the moment you’re in right now is COMPLETELY under your control.
The action you take, the words you speak, the direction you want to go - choose each moment wisely and that will lead to your big results.
When you focus on the moment you’re living right now, you’ll be more productive on the tasks at hand and you’re building a healthier mindset.
