My desire to empower others started when I first discovered how to empower myself.

Hi, I’m Karen. When I was 29, my life was in shambles. I suddenly became a widow when my husband, Richard, was tragically killed. I lost my house, my car, my job and so much more. 

My life was a mess, I was a mess, and I was in so much pain that I was living my life on autopilot. I didn't know how to get myself back on track, how to start living again, how to move forward... I felt completely stuck.

That was me. 

It wasn’t until the day my 2-year-old son walked into my room and asked “Mommy are you going to get up today?” that I knew I needed to change my life. Looking at him, I realized I couldn’t give up. I needed to begin my journey to healing so I could once again build a beautiful life for myself and my son.  

In that moment, I did something that changed my life...

I told myself,

"You can do this."

Changing the story I was telling myself gave me the boost I needed to take action.

Over time I rebuilt my confidence, redefined my life, and reshaped my choices to create a life I love. I discovered a simple mindset exercise that can change your life - I call it, Stop & Shift.
